Somos Williams – Associação Portuguesa de Síndrome de Williams is a Portuguese Association founded in November 2022 by a group of parents and other relatives of people with Williams Syndrome. Our main goals are to spread the word about Williams Syndrome, as well as to improve the quality of life of “Williams people” in Portugal.
So far we have been working mainly through social media, which allows us to get to families throughout Portugal in a much quicker and more effective way.
Ana Isabel Serrão is a language teacher from Madeira, Portugal, and the chair of Somos Williams. She is the mother of a teenage boy with Williams Syndrome and she is also a member of two other charities in the area of rare diseases and disability.
